Random Thoughts

I love French Dip sandwiches! i had a great one last night and have a hankerin' for another one today. I'm not going to indulge myself though, because its a pretty gluttonous type sandwich...a carnivorous delight. One might think that its enough to be piled high with meat and cheese, but you get an extra cup of "Au Jus" to dip the sandwich in...who came up with this? Dipping a meaty sandwich in more meat juice? I feel like a cavewoman eating this messy morsel...one who licks her chops clean!

What's going on with Mitchum deodorant? I've used it for years, but am becoming an unhappy customer. I've always loved their slogan "So effective you can skip a day!" (although its not the only reason i used it.) My grandma used it and that was the first time i'd ever heard of it...i've used it for almost 20 years!! It's not pink or flowery-smelling, and its not even close to eye-level on the shelves in the deodorant aisle, so it was affordable. I've never really noticed advertising for it before, but that's changed. Out of the blue, Mitchim has gotten a make-over. No more silly slogan and now hip, new advertising? I'm not liking it. What's wrong with "So effective you can skip a day!" ?

There's a great station here in Houston, 95.7 the Wave. Its smooth jazz and is soooooo smoooooth, its very calming. I listen to it in the car to prevent road rage...it really helps.

I sense an inclination of "going native" in your blog.

Look into a mirror and repeat 3 times daily:

Donut Palace
Delacroix
Java Jack's

Ok. Stay away from urban food, decent jazz, and mystery deodorant.
It's not natural. People in Nac won't understand. Think of your family.
