new info; don't get too excited!

ok...after several phone calls last week, i got a password which gained me access to "My MD Anderson" website. Its a service that has all my patient info posted on-line, accessible to me only....(i suppose to help cut down on those disappointing and fruitless phone calls!)

So; i just logged on and saw that i have appointment for June 5th, next Wednesday morning. It just says with the Radiologist, so i'm going to have to make another call tomorrow to find out exactly what we're doing.

Last week i had a pretty "up-in-the-air" conversation with my Doc. She had some questions for the radiologists on "our team" about whether to do radiation pre-surgery or post-surgery. From what i understood, she was planning a meeting with Radiation folks, plastic Surgery people and herself before they'd know when to schedule surgery.

I think this must be the appointment for that meeting. I wasn't sure that i was to be a part of that meeting of the minds, but it makes sense that the entire team of people working on It would want to see It.

SO: It would be shortly after this meeting that we'll know when surgery will be. I've been told that could be 2-3 weeks, but its hard to say because all of these people have to coordinate their schedules.

At least that's something to plan on. Whew!

how weird, that they post your appointments on the web before they tell you about them. i like that you have a "team" of specialists at your beck and call. i bet you could convince them to work in uniform!
