Comments anyone?

well i got that durn drain out of my leg today. i am one worn out cookie, though. We went to Houston at 10 am and got back after 9. Dad drove, so we brought Tready with. They went to the Museum of Natural Science during my appointment, so they had a good time.

The drain removal was so weird...it had been inserted an inch or so into my knee. When i asked if it hurt, she said that most people just say that it feels "weird". Yeah. It felt like what i'd imagine a worm crawling under your skin would feel like. She pulled out the stitches that held it in place and that stung a little, then i felt the sensation of a tube moving under my skin and exiting through a hole in my leg. The hole still feels strange, even though she taped it together.
i'm just glad i don't have to cart around a see-thru flask of knee juice on my cast anymore.

i'm tired and want to comment on comments i've gotten. i don't know if the responses are seen by folks who check this blog, so i'm doing the lazy version and commenting here...so these things may not make sense to many;

To all who comment on the pix: glad you aren't repulsed enough to not read further. i know it must be bad when The German Nurse doesn't want to see it in person! HA! Rest assured, dear readers, its healing nicely so pictures are sure to improve. The Doc said it looked like a big strawberry today. ok....?

Chaybee, i want to see that baybee! I could arrange to get a ride over to see you if its easier...but if you are looking for an excuse to get out of the house, c'mon over. My sis have her 8 month old here on friday. i'll actually be here by myself tomorrow afternoon cuz my dad is going to houston to get her....gimme a call.

martha! i'd love to have ya'll visit....anya is here until sept.15. maybe sometime after that? we could have a flight of the conchords marathon! i've got a travel crib darl could use...tready would love it!

what else? brain malfunction...shutting down. i'm just glad to hear from all of you. Do you see comments when i comment to your comments on the comments area? Comments, anyone?

AAwwww, no more knee juice. Did they let you keep the "flask" at least? And I hope your working on an oil on canvas version of "Sarcoma Tumor." You can do art while horizontal, yes?

ok...i reckon folks come back for comments, (ahem, madame,,)so i'm going to try this route. i never check back on comments i make on other blogs: never thought of it...guess i ought to if peops are writing back. NO FLASK, amy...shoulda saved it for you. i reckon i could do horizontal art if i can do horizontal laptop. Freida did it...i've been wondering if she would have created as much if laptops were available during her time. this computer is such a procrastinatin' tool for me....
