I was in a room with several of my fave gal-pals last night, and the positive vibes zoomed through the room! I woke up all smiley.
We got crafty and made all sorts of fun marble-magnets, which i won't describe too much, lest i ruin any surprise for Christmas gifts. As much fun as that was, that's not what reverberates in my memory of that evening: here's a sample of the happiness going around:
* one friend is due with her baby girl any minute, hour, day now!! We all giggled with glee at the prospect of holding that little thang soon.
* two friends are about to sign contracts on houses this month ( a first for both!). The excitement of packing, moving, decorating, gardening was discussed. One of these gals also has an exciting new job, to boot. Speaking of booting, her computer works great too ;) and she's real happy about that.
* one whippersnapper is about to finish her Masters and have her 25th birthday next week! She's worked long and hard, managing to pursue a dizzying number of other accomplishments at the same time. An inevitable celebration is planned.
* another friend, who is always good for laughs, is happy about someone new in her life. We're all happy for her. She brought the hostess a funny gift.
* I don't want to leave out the new girl we met, destined to be a crafty new friend. I'm sure she's got more excitement in her life, but the main thing we were all excited about is her free smoothies her job allows her. Also, she let me borrow her glue, so she must be nice.
It's amazing how being in the company of good people has an effect on you. It makes you thankful, content, expressive, interested and feel like you are in just the right place.

aw! you are too sweet! and we can't forget the sixth superstar of the evening - that one gorgeous girl who loves to make people laugh, who is a role model for positive thinking and good attitudes, and who still manages to think of and care for other people, even when she's going through the toughest of times.
